I have used many different mediums, such as graphite, charcoal and pastels. My early canvas works, were all done in grandmas oils, which I used so sparingly, I still have some left after 50 years. There was no money for art, so what ever I had was drawn on, and what ever was found -used. My style is still forming, as being self taught, discovery is constant-and all things delight me. Now I move into a part of my life were I can devote much more time to consider the world of art and all it offers!

My inspiration is emotion! I love painting people, animals and things trying to capture that look, that expression or moment.
When I see a person in a moment of their life, a favorite pet that someone loves, or items in a home that tell a story- then I feel the brush strokes coming on, and am not settled until I can create them with satisfaction and beauty -trying to reflect what I saw.
